Reminiscing on our Engagement

I was looking through some of my pictures and came across the pictures of the night Steve proposed... of should I say "officially proposed with the ring!" :) I thought I would post a few pictures because its always fun to reminisce!

So here is the story for those of you who haven't heard it before. Steve told me we were going to dinner with his friend Gunnar and his wife Shea. His dad called us on our way to dinner and told Steve that there was a water leak at his office building in downtown Mesa. Steve told me he had accidentally took his dads keys to the building and asked if we could go to the office and turn off the water on our way to dinner. So we took the elevator to the fifth floor and climbed the stairs up to the roof top of the building. It seemed pretty loud and I was trying to use my cell phone as a flash light for Steve to find the lever to turn off the water. He took my hand and told me to follow him around the dark wall we were standing behind. And right there in front of my eyes, he had a candlelight dinner with two dozen red roses set up with the gorgeous view of the whole city! He even had a blanket and slippers for me in case I got cold! I felt like I was in a movie! He called his parents and they came up and dropped off our steak dinner from Outback Steakhouse! Then after they left, Steve grabbed me and gave me a really tight hug and told me how much he loved me and then got on one knee and "officially proposed!" It was like a dream! He then turned on some sexy tunes (which included Justin Timberlake and my favorite Brian McKnight music) and we ate dinner, danced all cuddled up in our blankets, and laid down and looked at the stars and talked about all of our goals and dreams! It was one of the best nights of my life!!! I am so blessed to have such an incredible husband! He is truly my soul mate!
