Roughin' It

We felt it was high time to go on a little family outing last Saturday! So we packed up the truck and headed to Mt. Orde for the day with Mike and Lindsay. Parker thought it was so cool that he got to sit in the front of the truck with us! He watched Steve drive and wouldn't take his eyes off of him!
The views were absolutely beautiful!
Mike started a fire once we got there so that we could cook our foil lunches. Once we got the fire started, Lindsay and I realized that we forgot utensils to eat our messy lunches...
Then I came up with a brilliant idea...
Yep, you guessed it-- we used little Parker's baby spoons to eat our foil lunches!! He was so generous to share with us!
Mike and Steve worked hard to get us a fire started... it was a bit windy that day! It seems that Mike did more of the dirty work though! Good job Mikey!
We made sure Parker wore his protective ear muffs while Steve and Mike shot their guns (Don't worry, he was no where near them when they were shooting. Lindsay and I sat in the truck with him!) :)
Parker loved wearing the ginormous ear muffs! It was funny because we were calling his name and he didn't even flinch because he couldn't hear us!
We sure had a fun time! We can't wait to go again... next time we won't forget our utensils! Thanks again Parker-- we owe you!
Hope you enjoyed!

  5. Those ear muffs are so seriously adorable on him I can't even find the right words :)

Ok, I'm a little jealous of your fun outing with Mike and Lindsey.....maybe we can have a fun outing and eat with Parker's baby spoons and Aaron could get his nose really dirty making a fire, and we could put ear muffs on the baby's and I could take a pic holding Parker with his huge ear muffs on.......or something like that........

    Glad you had fun!

By the way, thanks for the advice. You were so right. After about a week and a half of constant biting, she stopped (with the exception of an occasional bite when Ethan's yelling.)
