Dennis The Menace... In My Home

Don't be fooled by these gorgeous big blue eyes and dreamy long eyelashes...
This little rascal is a sneaky one. I went to pick him up at the gym daycare today after my work out, and was informed by one of the very sweet workers that he found a squirt bottle (with cleaning chemicals in it) and sprayed his hair and face with it! She told me that she washed him off really good and was very sorry. I wasn't surprised at all-- because this, my friends, is not an unusual thing for him to do! She said he is one "curious" little boy. I asked her if he was into everything more than any of the other children and she quickly responded "YES! How do you get anything done?" I just laughed and told her "Good question... most days, I really feel like I don't get anything done!" He really is a good kid. Just curious and wants to see how everything works. Sometimes it makes me crazy.... I'm not going to lie. But I have to remind myself that he's not even 2 yet!
If he's strapped in a car seat/ high chair or has a fun movie/cartoon to watch-- he is perfectly fine and content! But I don't want him to be strapped in a high chair/car seat or sitting in front of the television all day long. So I guess I'll just have to keep chasing him around and try to safely let him explore and figure out the world!
You would think that I would have my baby weight burned off by now with how much "chasing" I do every day!

  1. Haha, how cute! I feel the same way. Lily will be 2 in a couple months. She uses her cute little smiles to try to get out of trouble. Unfortunately, she can wriggle her way out of any buckle or strap. Glad to know I'm not the only one that feels my little one is full of energy :)
