I ate so many amazing things in New York, I am still full just thinking about it! Every meal was great. I do however feel like I ate my money away... because the food was so expensive! Money definitely goes fast when you are there! Oh well, it's part of the New York experience. :)
A few of us went to brunch and Ashley and I split our meal. We laughed when we ordered Strawberry nutella crepes and the waitress told us they were out of strawberries. All they had were blueberries. She then asked us if we wanted wheat, white, sourdough or an english muffin with our omelet and we asked for wheat toast. She came back a minute later and said that they were out of wheat! I asked her if they had any food?? It was pretty funny! The meal did not disappoint though, so we were good!
Miranda had to catch the train back to D.C. after breakfast and she slipped out without us knowing that she paid for our meal! I love her to pieces. She is so awesome! I owe you girl!
Central Park
This was the freakiest thing I saw while in New York. Yes, that is a wig on the ground. Yuck! I don't want to know how that got there!
We went to Levain Bakery and I indulged in the BEST cookie I have ever tasted in my existence-- chocolate, peanut butter chip. Yes, that was a little piece of heaven in my opinion.
Newsies was by far one of my favorite plays I have ever seen! The talent in that show was phenomenal! It exceeded my expectations-- and I had HIGH expectations! And was even better than the movie! It was really fun to see Alex and Jess from So You Think You Can Dance in the play too! They were all incredible dancers! The crowd was absolutely wild the entire time because it was so exciting to watch!
The boy from Shake It Up (that Disney channel show with the kids that are awesome dancers) was there too.
We went to Serendipity after the play and I experienced frozen hot chocolate for the first time. It was okay, but I much preferred their hot fudge sundae!
Parker really wanted to go to New York when he saw this picture. He loves Spiderman lately!
Shake Shack was so yummy! I got a peanut butter, chocolate shake and it was the best shake I have ever had! Can you tell I really like peanut butter and chocolate?
The last day, we went to the harbor and saw the Intrepid, an air craft carrier. We rode the Beast (a jet boat) down the Hudson river and got to see lots of cool sites like the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, the Ground Zero memorial, The Empire State building and the Brooklyn Bridge. It was a great way to finish off our amazing trip!
Check out my dad's awesome hair do after the ride!
New York rocks. That's really all there is to it.
Thanks for turning 30 Krista so we could all party with you! Good times, good times. :)
What a fun trip!!
