Mikey's Homecoming and the 4th of July!

Kambri and Jase were watching Mike's plane taxi up to the runway and were very anxious to see him... Jase was meeting Uncle Mike for the first time!
I was so excited to get a shot of him stepping off of the plane!
Shari said seeing her missionary boys step off the plane and embracing them for the first time is her favorite thing in the whole world-- she said it is just as amazing as seeing them when they were first born! I was excited to capture their tearful embrace!
The whole fam-damnly-- minus Trevor who is up at BYU right now!
He is still the same Mikey, just 220 pounds now. He is all filled out like a man!
Lindsay and her sisters made this cute sign for him! Welcome home Mikey! It is so great to have you home and well! You sure were a great missionary! We love you lots!!
And I had to throw in the only picture we took on the fourth of July the next day. Steve's Mimi and Grandpa have a fourth of July BBQ every year at Fuddruckers! She is so cute. She stands at the door and welcomes everybody and hands every child and grandchild a ten dollar bill to get some lunch! Classy lady-- she's pretty much my favorite person! Thanks so much, for our yummy lunch! We sure had a great fourth of July! And it was so great to have Mike there with us to celebrate!
Hope you all had a happy fourth!!

  1. Mike looks so good! I bet Shari & Ralph are so excited to have him home. I loved Brianne's homecoming, so I know what Shari is talking about.

  2. Mike looks great!! You could see the glow of the spirit around him even in the pictures!! It is an surreal experience returning home from a mission. Welcome home Mike!! Also sounds like a fun 4th of July tradition. You look so cute!! I seriously can NOT wait to meet Parker. I have been thinking a lot about him and what he will be like these past couple days. It is funny to think that he could actually be here this month if he comes only 1 week early :) Miss you!! Love you!!!

  8. So Mikey (and you probably ought to start calling him MIKE) must be Alex's age, right? Where did he go on his mission? There was a flag in the picture above but I couldn't tell what flag it was. Anyway, glad he's home safe and sound!!
