Pinetop Retreat

Liz, Dave and little William invited us up to Liz's parents cabin in Pinetop last weekend. We had such a fun time! Our trip pretty much consisted of eating, lounging, and taking walks in the beautiful forest!
Parker was so excited to be up there. He had so many new things to look at and touch, he didn't even know what to do with himself.
This girl right here is pretty much the coolest gal I know. We totally "get" each other! I told her that if I was a little girl, I would have brought my dress up "olden day" clothes to their cabin and played pioneers all day long! Her reply: "Oh Erin, we were so meant to be friends!":) We really are "kindred" spirits!
We went on a beautiful walk by the golf course after dinner. It was such a gorgeous day!
Parker was in heaven.
Check out Parker's face in the picture below. That's his excited, silly face.

Cheesy pose.
I miss the weather already!
Back at the cabin, Parker enjoyed snacking on cheerios while gazing at the fire. What more could a baby ask for?
Liz is the person you want to vacation with! Not only is she hilarious and fun to be around but she is also a gourmet cook!! We ate delicious comfort food like chili and corn bread, gourmet grilled cheese and tomato soup, chicken salad sandwiches, banana pancakes with eggs and potatoes for breakfast and sweet pork tacos with homemade guacamole for dinner! She even made caramel popcorn for us while we watched a movie!
I think I gained a few pounds. Diet starts Monday right?
Parker thought it was pretty fun to ride in a paper bag!
We even ate at a little hot dog stand-- I know- it sounds disgusting!! But they were actually quite tasty hot dogs! The only thing I didn't like was the giant sliver I got in my butt from those wooden benches!! Liz was kind enough to help me pick it out. Now that's true friendship!
By the end of the trip, our boys were exhausted! Parker fell asleep on our walk. I would too if I were a baby and my mom was holding me!
Thanks for the amazing time!
