Our 4th of July Weekend

We got to go to San Diego last weekend for the 4th of July! It was a blast! Parker had so much fun playing with his cousins everyday and Hudson was an angel baby and was so happy (as always) the entire vacation! Needless to say, we had a great time! We decided that it was time for Parker to get his own ice cream cone on our drive there... I think he liked it.
 What do you think??
We all went to Islands for dinner on Saturday and Steve and I shared the teriyaki burger. It was SO delicious!!
Everyone enjoyed their cuddle time with Hudson. He loves people and is so happy when anyone holds him.

We met up with Liz and Dave for brunch at Brockton Villa in La Jolla. I got the most delicious french toast I have ever tasted in my entire life! It is always a treat to see them!
On Sunday night we ate homemade Cafe Rio salads and Kambri (who is 5 mind you) set the table all by herself. She even gave everyone a unique toy on their plate (which I thought was very creative and extremely cute!) She was obsessed with "girl talk" and making lists about what she wanted to do on vacation. It was fun to get my little girl fill this weekend!

I love how Parker is leaning on his hand while he is eating his dinner.
We took the kids to the Del Mar park that overlooks the ocean-- one of the best places to take the kids!

Parker loved watching the train speed by!
Happy Hudson! He traveled so good for us. He seriously never cries unless he is hungry or has a gas bubble (which is rare.) We only stopped one time driving to and from California to feed him and he slept the rest of the way and still slept through the night too (minus the 4 am feeding.)

Parker was left unattended for a few minutes apparently and got into his Aunt Meredith's moisturizer... he came out of her room saying "Poo!" (shampoo) while rubbing his hands all over his head! It was funny, but we definitely had to reimburse her because I'm pretty sure he used up the whole jar! Whoops!

 Sorry 'bout that Meredith!
One of the most fun things was going swimming! We also went to the beach but I didn't take my camera.

Parker also got into the toilet... we're still working on that one.
We had to get a family picture sporting our festive red, white and blue attire!

Mmm... I want to bite those chubby cheeks!
Getting ready to go to La Jolla for fireworks.
We watched fireworks in La Jolla Cove. There is just something about watching fireworks right next to the ocean that makes it magical! We had fun (minus the hour and 45 minute drive back to Del Mar because of crazy California traffic!)
Steve and I ate Coldstone which made that night completely worth it. Ice cream always makes everything better in my eyes. ;)

I feel very grateful for our founding fathers and for all of those who have made sacrifices for the freedoms of our country. God Bless America!

I will post more pictures of our last day of the trip next. Stay tuned!....
